General rules
- Students should be punctual and regular attendance is a must. Late comers will not be admitted without a written explanation from the parent.
- During schooling hours no student is allowed to leave the campus without the written approval of the principal.
- Continuous absence for 15 days without leave causes the removal of the student’s name from the school register. He/ she will be readmitted only after satisfactory explanation, payment of all dues and readmission fee of Rs. _____.
- Irregular attendance, misconduct, disobedience or defiance of authority are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a student.
- Students are allowed to converse ONLY in ENGLISH inside the campus.
- All students should be neatly dressed in school uniform and wear black shoes, socks, belt and ID card to school everyday.
- Students should bring their diary and other books according to the timetable everyday.
- Girls may keep their hair cut short or if allowed to grow, keep them neatly plaited and tied with black hairband only.
- Having long nails, use of nail polish and such make-ups are not allowed in school.
- Excessive money, expensive & fancy stationery, electronic gadgets, smart watches, playing cards, toys, chewing gum, firecrackers, sharp edged instruments, comics, periodicals etc. should not be brought to the school unless specially asked for by the teacher. If found, stern disciplinary action will be taken.
- Students are strictly forbidden from disfiguring the walls & furniture of the school.They should keep their classrooms and premises neat and clean.
- Running, playing, and shouting inside the classroom/corridors is strictly forbidden. Once they come to the school in the morning, pupils are expected to remain in their classrooms and engage themselves in self study.
- When the principal, teachers, nursemaid or any other elderly person comes to the class, the pupil should stand up and greet him/her and remain standing till they are asked to sit.
- Students should not speak ill of anyone, as it will deteriorate their goodwill and confidence. Always speak positive and see the positive side of things.
- Students should build confidence in themselves, and ask doubts to their teachers whenever in doubt. If you don’t clear your doubts, you will always remain in the darkness.
- Write all the details of homework and test papers in the diary in the respective period itself.
- Be a regular visitor to the school library and make use of the stock of books available there.
- Use only refined language while conversing with others. It will boost your self-confidence and positive approach.
- You should use the four magical words to good manners, ‘Please’, ‘Thank you’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Excuse Me’ whenever necessary.
- Do not tear pages from the notebooks or scribble anything at the backpage of the notebook.
- Students should not enter other classrooms for any reason without the permission of teachers.
- Students should move only in a single line and a queue should be followed in all the places. Playing or shouting inside the school buildings is strictly forbidden.
- Pencil boxes with games and fancy boxes are strictly not allowed.
- Each pupil is responsible for the safe custody of their belongings. All personal articles including books should be kept neat and labelled. The school is not responsible for the loss of any of their belongings.
- Speak good words, express good thoughts, behave politely and learn to socialise with all.
- Always be in good company and act responsibly so that your family, friends and your school feel proud of you.
Library rules
- The library is a “Silence Zone”. Students have to strictly maintain silence in the library.
- Books will be issued to the students during the library period as per time table or in free period.
- Students are allowed to borrow only one book at a time and return the same by the date mentioned in the slip.
- Borrowed books must be returned on the due date otherwise a fine of Rs. 10 per week will be imposed after the due date.
- Entry has to be made in the library records as soon as a book is issued & returned.
- Reference books, magazines and other periodicals shall not be issued to the students. They can, however, read these books in the library room.
- The staff-members should return all the books once the session is over. They can re-issue it after the commencement of new academic session.
- Writing or underlining in the books, periodicals, maps etc. is not allowed.
- Readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages or otherwise damage the library literatures.
- Only notebooks, paper and a pencil or a pen may be brought inside the library along with the library books due for return.
Computer lab rules
- Wipe off shoes at the doormat before entering the Computer Lab.
- Students are not permitted in the computer lab by themselves for any reason. A staff member must always be present with any student.
- Bringing electronic gadgets from outside is strictly forbidden.
- Any kind of defect or damage must be reported promptly for action to be taken and the machine made available for the next user.
- Always come and leave the lab in groups.
- Maintain proper silence while in the lab.
- Press the keys gently without thudding.
- Anyone found misusing or playing with any computer peripherals will be penalised considerably.
- Open and close the lab’s door as directed.
- Only use your assigned computer and workstation.
- Do not change the settings on the computer.
Laboratory rules
- Wear overalls in the labs, particularly in the Chemistry lab.
- Do not attempt to change the position of the glass tubing in a stopper.
- Avoid shifting bottles from the common shelf.
- Unauthorised experiments or procedures must not be attempted.
- Long hair (chin-length or longer) must be tied back to avoid catching fire.
- Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes when heating substances, dissecting, etc.
- Follow all the instructions given by your teacher.
- Do not leave your assigned laboratory spot without permission from the teacher.
- Do not taste or smell chemicals.
- Use a dustbin for throwing broken glass pieces, match sticks, etc. Do not throw waste in the sink.
Code of conduct for students
- Showcase the virtues like politeness and friendliness in and outside the school.
- Practise a sense of responsibility and determination to face any difficult situations.
- Do not litter in (or outside) the school premises.
- Be honest and truthful.
- Respect your own property as well as of the school.
- Greet your parents, teachers and elders whenever and wherever you meet them.
- Respect your classmates and do not use nicknames.
Playground rules
- All students should maintain good discipline and should never indulge themselves in any activities detrimental to the interest of the institution.
- Always play safe by being careful and showing courtesy.
- Never run around or push and pull others while near playground equipment.
- Display the sense of sportsmanship.
- Don’t go too close to the front or rear of moving equipment.
- Wear proper sports uniform. Make sure your shoes are tied and never wear clothes that have drawstrings.
- Don’t play on slippery surfaces.
- Take turns and get in a line when more than one person wants to use a piece of equipment.
- Sit properly on equipment and do not overcrowd.
- Ask an adult for help if there is a problem or someone is hurt.
- Never go to a playground by yourself or without letting an adult know.
